Kuruds being carried to Kala Bag near Choordhar by devotees

These Kuruds will be embellished and cured before they would be carried on shoulders to the temple on October 11.

The ceremony will include the installation of the sacred *Kurud*, made from deodar wood, at the newly revamped temple.

The first step in establishing the *Kurud* was successfully completed today as hundreds of Shrigul devotees from various regions gathered to carry the massive structure made from a giant tree to Kalabaag.

The enthusiasm and energy witnessed during the event were truly commendable. With the blessings of Shrigul Maharaj, we hope that future tasks will be accomplished in the same manner.

The Chooreshwar Seva Samiti made provisions for refreshments at Khadach and meals at Churdhar for volunteers. A heartfelt thanks goes to all the committee members for their support.

BM Nanta, President of the Chooreshwar Seva Samiti, expressed his gratitude, saying, "In the coming days, every committee member will continue to carry out their duties diligently to ensure the successful completion of this peaceful *Mahayagya*. Our volunteers will reach Churdhar on the 9th to offer their services."

He further requested, "I urge all volunteers who have not yet registered for service to immediately submit their name and mobile number to the General Secretary, so they do not face any inconvenience later."

This event is expected to attract over 50,000 devotees to Choordhar, a wildlife sanctuary spread across Chopal subdivision and parts of Sirmaur district.

Gyar Singh Negi, the General Secretary of Chureshwar Seva Samiti, has urged all local units to contribute financially towards the grand event.

"We have issued special receipts for collecting funds for the *Shant Mahayagya*," said Negi.

He added that units can also donate 20% of their annual membership fees if they wish to contribute further. The remaining 80% of the units' membership funds are to be directed to the central committee.

The committee is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the success of the event.

Several arrangements have been made, including the purchase of 1,000 blankets for devotees, new utensils for the *Mahayagya*, and 5 quintals of flowers to decorate the temple.

Additionally, around 2,500 to 3,000 mats are being prepared for volunteers, with the total cost expected to reach ₹75,000. The central committee is also providing identity cards for all volunteers and workers, said Negi.

Negi emphasized the collective effort required for such a large-scale event and encouraged local units to extend their support.

The Chooreshwar Temple holds great spiritual significance, and this ceremony is expected to be a major religious occasion for devotees.
