New Delhi: In a landmark moment for Hindi literature, poet Ajey’s much-awaited book Rohtang Aar-Paar was released at the World Book Fair 2025 in Delhi.

The book, published by Aadhar Prakashan, was launched at the India Pavilion, Pragati Maidan, and remained open for readers from February 1 to 9.

On the last day of the fair, a discussion on the book was held, moderated by renowned Hindi poet and translator Yadavendra Ji. Eminent poet Anamika praised Ajey’s writing for capturing "the unheard voices of the exiled prince of fairytales."

She also highlighted his deep understanding of human senses—Rasana (taste), Sparsha (touch), Shravana (hearing), Gandha (smell), and Drishti (sight)—woven with the compassion of Buddha.

Several distinguished literary figures attended the event. Among them were Ashok Kumar, a promising young poet from Chamba; Professor Snehlata Negi, a rising star in Kinnaur’s literary world; retired administrative officer Kuljit Krof; senior Energy and Environment Ministry officer Ashok Kumar; and Smriti Kumari, a research scholar from South Bihar University, Patna.

Ajey’s Rohtang Aar-Paar blends memoirs, travelogues, letters, diary entries, and reportage. The book explores the fragile connection between the environment, geopolitics, sustainable development, and identity in the Himalayan region.

Publisher Desh Nirmohi announced that all copies of the book were sold out during the fair, calling it a major milestone in his publishing career.

The second print will soon be available on Aadhar Prakashan’s website and platforms like Amazon.

A prominent Hindi critic, after reviewing the manuscript, described the book as "an affidavit of a Himalayan insider." With its thought-provoking themes and gripping narrative, Rohtang Aar-Paar is set to make a lasting impact on Hindi literature.
