Vikramaditya Singh OnShimlaFlyover

SHIMLA: Shimla’s first-ever flyover is set to come up at one of the city’s worst traffic bottlenecks—the busy crossing near the Railway Station and Vidhan Sabha on the Circular Road.

The project, which aims to decongest this lifeline of the capital, will cost ₹22 crore.

Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (HPWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh inspected the ongoing construction work today and assured that the flyover would be completed by the end of this year.

"Once ready, it will provide much-needed relief to thousands of daily commuters, including locals and tourists, who often find themselves stuck in long traffic snarls here," he said.

The Circular Road has long been synonymous with traffic jams, especially at this crucial intersection.

The flyover is expected to streamline vehicular movement and reduce congestion significantly.

The project marks a major step in addressing Shimla’s growing traffic crisis, offering residents and visitors a smoother and faster travel experience.
