Satluj river at Nogli in Rampur

Power Houses have been shut down today morning  in view of the high silt level in the Satluj as a safety measures.

He took a virtual meeting with the Project staff and assessed the progress of ongoing projects in Himachal Pradesh, including the Luhri Stage-I (210 MW), Sunni Dam (382 MW), and Dhaulasidh (66 MW), as well as the Naitwar Mori  (60 MW) in Uttarakhand.

It is noteworthy that the rivers surrounding these projects have witnessed a significant rise in water levels.

Emphasizing the importance of safeguarding lives, Nand Lal Sharma instructed the Head of Projects to set up High-Level Committees for vigilant monitoring of areas surrounding the projects.

Furthermore, he urged officials to proactively respond to any emergencies arising from the inclement rainfall.

Nand Lal Sharma appealed to residents to adhere to advisories issued by local administrations, urging them to stay away from rivers and rivulets.

He also advised individuals to check weather updates before undertaking any travel, as the forecast predicts heavy rainfall in the coming days.
