Tawang War Memorial

Nestled in Itanagar, this memorial bears witness to the heroism displayed by Indian martyrs, their names etched on 2420 granite plates in remembrance of their sacrifice in the Kameng sector.

Visitors to the memorial are greeted by a poignant display of honor, with prayer flags fluttering in the breeze.

The somber hues of the National Flag, the Army Flag, and the Air Force Flag create a backdrop to the profound significance of the site.

Additionally, the flags of the 27 regiments that participated in the war encircle the memorial, symbolizing the collective bravery of those who fought.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu, moved by the legacy of these bravehearts, offered heartfelt tributes at the memorial.

In this solemn atmosphere, the granite plates bearing the names of the fallen heroes serve as a stark reminder of the sacrifices made for the nation, immortalized in the echoes of history at the Tawang War Memorial.
