Shimla, April 30: The District Administration has invited claims and objections from families affected by the Luhri Hydro Electric Project (210 MW), being executed by SJVN, as part of the process to finalize a supplementary rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) plan.
Affected individuals have been given one month to submit their responses.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator for R&R, Jyoti Rana, said that 00-38-92 hectares (5 bighas and 3 biswas) of land in Mahal Nirath, Narola, and Bhadrash in Shimla district is proposed to be acquired for the project.
The supplementary draft R&R plan has been prepared under Section 16 of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013 and Rule 7 of the Himachal Pradesh Rules, 2016, to include landowners who were left out in the earlier draft.
The draft plan has been placed at the office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Rampur, for public consultation.
Claims and objections submitted within the deadline will be recorded under Rule 8 and incorporated into the final plan before being forwarded to the Additional District Magistrate.
Rana urged all affected families to participate in the process to ensure fair compensation and transparent rehabilitation.
