RECONG PEO: Himachal has unveiled plans to allow tourists in previously restricted border zones, including the strategic Shipki La pass.

This initiative aims to boost local tourism and regional infrastructure. Regulations and security protocols are still being finalized.

The news marks a major step toward opening India’s high-altitude frontier areas to travelers .

HP CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu made this announcement in Kinnaur today and tanked defense Minister Rajnath Singh for this  

This will boost local trade and sources of income of border villagers, he added.
