Shimla Launches 24x7 Water Helpline, One Call Away From Help
SHIMLA: No more running from one office to another for water woes in Shimla — just dial 8767198000.
The Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Ltd. (SJPNL), in partnership with SUEZ, has launched a dedicated 24x7 water helpline to make life easier for city residents.
Whether it's water supply issues, queries, or complaints — this single helpline will now act as a direct bridge between citizens and the water management system.
The initiative promises round-the-clock assistance, ensuring residents get timely help without the usual red tape.
According to SJPNL officials, trained representatives at the call centre will promptly register every complaint, pass it on to the concerned technical teams, and ensure quick action.
“This move is part of our ongoing efforts to make the system more accountable and citizen-friendly,” said an SJPNL spokesperson.
The idea is not just to fix leaks and shortages but also to build public confidence in the city’s water services.
By cutting down delays and increasing transparency, authorities hope to improve the overall efficiency of water management in Shimla.
Residents have been urged to save the number — 8767198000 — and use it whenever they face any water-related issue.
