Shimla/New Delhi, Feb 19:
SJVN on Thursday organized the Special Vendor Development Meet 2026 in New Delhi to strengthen engagement with Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Chairman & Managing Director Bhupender Gupta, addressing the meet, said the initiative would help forge new partnerships and expand opportunities for MSMEs.
He noted that SJVN has held 36 such meets since 2018, underlining its commitment to vendor empowerment, with special focus on SC/ST and women-owned enterprises.
Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma said SJVN is proactively supporting MSMEs through inclusive procurement, while Director (Finance) Sipan Kumar Garg highlighted the role of MSMEs in achieving Viksit Bharat 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Presentations by SJVN and institutions including the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government e-Marketplace and industry bodies familiarized vendors with procurement processes, schemes and e-registration platforms, followed by interactive discussions.
