BJP Alleges Congress SOP Exposes MIS Mess in Himachal Apple Procurement
Shimla: BJP State Social Media and IT In-charge Chetan Bragta on Tuesday alleged that the Himachal Pradesh government’s latest SOP and documents on MIS-2025 have exposed serious loopholes, weak verification and possible irregularities in the apple procurement system.
Bragta said the Congress government itself has now admitted the possibility of fake claims and discrepancies by constituting SDM-led inquiry committees involving Revenue, Horticulture and HPMC officials to verify land records, apple production, Aadhaar details, bank accounts and supply records of growers.
Questioning the timing of the move, he asked why such an extensive verification exercise was needed now if the system had earlier been transparent and foolproof.
He claimed that provisions like duplicate entry checks, Aadhaar verification, bank account matching and scrutiny of large claims reflected the government’s fear of irregularities within the MIS framework.
Accusing the Congress government of pushing honest orchardists into an atmosphere of uncertainty and suspicion, Bragta demanded a fair and time-bound investigation into all MIS-2025 cases and strict action against anyone found involved in fraud or misuse of rules.
