SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Congress president Pratibha Singh said the prices of LPG cylinder has gone beyond Rs 1100 today, which is becoming out of reach of a commonman and middle class family.
"With the increase of about Rs 700 in cylinder prices, it is clear that the BJP government is not worried about the people's kitchen", she charged.
In statement issued on Monday, Pratibha Singh has said that the government is forcing women in hilly states like Himachal, where people have adopted LPG in their bid to conserve forests to move them again in the direction of burning wood stoves.
"BJP is pushing them into the smoke. Congress in the country had given them freedom from this smoke", she remarked.
No Respite from Rising Prices
Pratibha Singh has said that the government is not giving any relief to the people from the rising prices and inflation. The interests of the farmers and apple growers are being completely ignored, she charged.
The unemployment figure is increasing day by day, which is a matter of great concern, she said.
Criticizing the BJP government of the state, Pratibha Singh said that it is completely ignoring the burning issues in the country.
Congress Stands With Unemployed Youth
Pratibha Singh has also expressed concern over the increasing corruption in the state and said that the paper leak of police recruitment is a big fraud with the unemployed youth. Congress is standing with the people against this injustice and deception and Party will fight for justice for them, she stated.
