Shimla, March 1: AICC in-charge for Himachal Pradesh, MP Rajni Patil,

announced that the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) would be reconstituted within the next 15 days.

She assured that the new executive committee would give due representation to senior leaders and energetic party workers, emphasizing that the Congress would move forward with collective strength.

Addressing a press conference at Rajiv Bhavan, the state Congress headquarters, Patil accused the BJP-led central government of denying any special financial assistance to Himachal Pradesh.

Despite this, she claimed that the state’s Congress government was successfully completing public welfare projects with its limited resources.

"The financial mess we see today is the legacy of the previous BJP government. The current Congress government is making sincere efforts to stabilize the state's economy," she asserted.

Expressing confidence in Congress’s return to power in 2027, Patil remarked, "The state has had a tradition of changing governments every five years, but this time, Congress will break that cycle and retain power."

On being questioned about internal party affairs, she insisted that the Congress organization in Himachal Pradesh remained strong and would be further streamlined.

"It is not possible to accommodate every leader in the government, so we ensure they are given key roles within the organization," she explained.

Taking a dig at the BJP’s alleged attempts to destabilize the Congress government, Patil said, "Despite the BJP being in power at the Centre and in several neighboring states, the people of Himachal gave Congress a decisive mandate.

No ‘Operation Lotus’ will ever succeed here because the public stands firmly with us."

Speaking about the series of party meetings in Shimla, she revealed that extensive discussions were held with Chief Minister, Deputy CM, ministers, senior leaders, former PCC chiefs, sitting MLAs, former candidates, and heads of various frontal organizations.

"Valuable suggestions have been given, and we will deliberate on them seriously," she concluded.
