SHIMLA: Aam Aadmi Party on Friday accused the Jai Ram Thakur government of pushing the students of common man into darkness with no future for them. Reason: The standard of education in government schools in Himachal Pradesh is in pathetic condition, AAP Charged.
Addressing the mediapersons, AAP spokesperson Gaurav Sharma charged the education system in the state is under question where four teachers have been appointed for only three students, whereas there are 2683 primary schools in the state which are running with the help of one teacher.
The State Spokesperson said the standard of education has fallen so much that even 26 schools in the Chief Minister's home district Mandi have been locked down where not a single child has taken admission in a government school.
Such a situation has been seen for the first time in the state where there are only three students in the Sahiti Middle School, adjacent to the state capital Shimla, Sharma said. The government has appointed four teachers to teach them, he said.
Shortage of 11083 Teachers in HP Schools
This game is being played when there is a shortage of 11083 teachers in the state, Sharma said. “The children are leaving government schools due to shortage of facilities and teachers in rural areas”.
During the rule of BJP, the level of education has fallen so much that neither children are coming to study in government schools, nor are their parents sending them to school, he charged. It is because the government is busy with fun, it has nothing to do with the future of the children of the state, Sharma stated.
At present, the condition of the leaders is also such that they place their favourite teachers at their favourite stations, he said. Due to which there are less students and more teachers in the schools, he charged.
In the last four and a half years, more than 500 schools have been closed in the state, AAP claimed. Lock has been hanged on 39 schools in district Shimla, 30 schools in Kangra, he said.
State Spokesperson said that it is a matter of great misfortune that the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party, JP Nadda himself belongs to Himachal, but he is not asking the Chief Minister to improve education system.
“But both are only engaged in political matters and they are only looking at how to grab power”, Sharma said. Nor does he want to give any answer on the papers that are being leaked, AAP charged.
“Nor does he want to give any answer on the rigging of police recruitment. Only to shine in politics, the National President of BJP is roaming from place to place in Himachal Pradesh and is having more fun, Gaurav stated.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party would improve the education system of the state in the coming days and would brighten the future of the state and its children.
