SHIMLA: BJP General Secretary and Sundernagar legislator Rakesh Jamwal attacked the Congress leaders Kaul Singh Thakur and Prakash Chaudhary saying that they have lost their ground in Mandi and they expect Prime Minister Narender Modi should have talked about "Italian Pasta" , instead of Sepu Badi, Badane, traditional cuisine of Mandi. Congress leaders have lost their sleep as they could not digest the resounding success of Prime Minister’s rally on four years term of the Jai Ram Thakur’s government on December 27, he rebutted.
Jamwal said the slogans raised by Congress leader Prakash Choudhary in protest against the delicacies of Sepu Badi, Kachori and Badane shows kind of attitude prevailing in the Congress party. “Congress leader Kaul Singh Thakur calling himself “brave” is in fact a “Paper Hero” of press statement is known for turning his back on himself”, he charged.
Referring to his statement that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur could not dare to demand anything from the Prime Minister, Jamval charged Kaul Singh Thakur is an "expert in overturning and back-biting”.
The projects worth lakhs of crores of rupees are going on in Himachal with the cooperation of the Modi government at the Centre, Jamwal said. “Himachal need not go to Delhi with a begging bowl as Center is approving the projects and fund state liberally under Modi government ”, he said.
Jamwal reminded Kaul Singh of time when he was a minister and the UPA government was in power at the Centre. Himachal did not get anything except jinx. Leave the then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, even any Union Minister used to shy away from coming to Himachal, he remarked.
Jamval said under the double engine government Himachal faces no shortage of funds. Prime Minister himself comes here to lay the foundation stones and inaugurate schemes worth thousands of crores off and one, he said.
Rakesh Jamwal said Prime Minister laid the foundation stones and inaugurated hydroelectric projects worth Rs 12 thousand crores on December 27. “This is the first time in the history of Himachal that a Prime Minister did it so”. Not only this, the projects worth Rs 8 thousand crores have come to the ground under the second ground breaking ceremony in Himachal under the chairmanship of Prime Minister. Congress leaders like Kaul Singh and Prakash Chaudhary could not digest this”, he said.
Rakesh Jamwal said Kaul Singh a “paper hero” of press conference, who takes challenges, after sometime he himself shamelessly backs down.
Referring to the statements by Prakash Chaudhary, leader from Balh, Rakesh Jamwal said Narendra Modi has a special connection with Himachal and if he likes Sepu Badi, Kachauri and Badane, then why does Congress object to it?
He said the fact is that they could not digest development being done by the double engine government in Himachal as they are feeling insecure. Congress would expect that Modi should talk about “Italian Pasta, not of Sepu Badi and Badane”, he remarked referring to the origins of Congress Chief.
Rakesh Jamwal said the four-year tenure of the state Government has been excellent and the crowd gathered at the Prime Minister's rally in Mandi is a proof of this. Congress leaders have lost their sleep due to the success of the Prime Minister's Mandi rally, he said.
