Prime Minister Narender Modi today enchanted a new mantra, "UP + Yogi ( Bahut Hai Upyogi) in the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh to woo crowds while laying the foundation stone of the Rs 36, 200 crore 494 km long and six-laned Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur. The Expressway with a 3.5 km long airstrip will enable emergency landing and take off of the Planes that will give a fast lane connectivity to 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh connecting western and eastern region of the state, he said.
The Expressway is the longest in UP. It will have an industrial corridor that will give a big boost to industrial and tourism development in the state.
Addressing the massive crowds, Narennder Modi enchanted, "UP Plus Yogi =UpYogi" (beneficial) repeatedly with the responding crowds in the poll- bound UP and took a dig at the SP and Congress without naming them. The Yogi Adityanath government has broken the backbone of the mafia raj and has established peace and development in UP and his government has become a new metaphor, UPYOGI, he said
Modi said whenever the Yogi struck a blow to the Mafias, it would directly hit their patronizers. Where people of the state would live in fear due to outbreaks of Dangas, now they live in peace and are now focusing on development, he said.
Modi said when UP together develops the whole nation moves forward. Remember the time 8 years ago, people did not get electricity, and pucca houses. "Today they have got both. Modi and Yogi will work together and this government has allotted Rs 2 lakh crores for people for pucca houses under PM Avas yojna, he said.
He said Expressway will be built at the cost of Rs 36, 200 crore. The unique feature of this Expressway will be the 3.5 km long airstrip that will assist emergency take off and landing of Air Force planes. The airstrip will be constructed on the Expressway in Shahjahanpur.
Prime Minister said the Expressway was the part of the efforts to provide fast track connectivity across the country. Starting near the Bijoli village in Meerut, Ganga Express will extend till near the Jodhpur Dandu village in Prayagraj. It will pass through Hapur Bulandshahr, Amroha Samberg, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Rai Bareilli, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj.
When ready, the Ganga Expressway will give boost to agriculture and socio economic development of the region.
