With the construction of this bridge, about 18 panchayats of Gagret and Chintpurni assembly constituencies will have easy access to traffic throughout the year, Thakur said.
Thakur said that “Roads and bridges are important for the ease of transport, but they also play an important role in the economic development of a state. “We are always striving for the expansion of roads in Himachal Pradesh, new bridges and projects should be approved”.
Anurag Thakur said there was a demand for this bridge in the Gagret assembly of Una district that falls in his parliamentary constituency for years that a 500 meter long double lane bridge should be built on the Loharli Khad here. The government has issued notification for this yesterday and Ministry has sanctioned Rs.43.17 crore under CRIF fund for this project. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Honorable Shri Nitin Gadkari ji for this approval”, he said .
Anurag Thakur said people of both Gagret and Chintapurni will be able to travel from Loharli to Chowkminar on the other side of the bridge. On the other hand, farmers, traders and employees of both the Vidhan Sabhas will also be able to reach their respective places, he said.
People of Gagret will have the opportunity to reach Amb, Dhusada and even Bangana of Kutlahad assembly on both sides of the Chintpurni assembly constituency directly, Thakur said.
He said support of Chintapurni MLA Balbir Chaudhary has also been received and for this, along with Rajesh Thakur.
