SHIMLA: Over 1.12 lakh cases will come up for settlement in the third National Lok Adalat to be held across all courts in Himachal Pradesh on September 13, 2025.
Organised under the patronage of Chief Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia and guidance of Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Executive Chairman of HP State Legal Services Authority, the Lok Adalat will take up matters ranging from civil disputes to motor vehicle challans.
An online facility through ePay (eCourts Digital Payment) has been enabled for compounding fees in traffic cases.
Awareness drives are also being run with the help of local bodies, NGOs, Panchayati Raj Institutions, para-legal volunteers and public transport services.
Officials said regular meetings are being held with bar associations, insurance companies, banks and financial institutions to ensure maximum disposal of cases. Print and electronic media have also been roped in to spread the word so that litigants can benefit from the mass settlement platform.
