SHIMLA: In a generous gesture the Odisha Government has donated a substantial sum of Rs. 5 crore to assist the disaster-affected regions of Himachal Pradesh.

Following the devastation wreaked by a recent disaster that impacted numerous areas in the state, this donation has been allocated to the Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 to facilitate relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for this generous act of support and extended his gratitude to Odisha's Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik.

In his message to his Odisha counterpart, Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized that this substantial contribution during this time of crisis would significantly aid the disaster-affected people of the state.

Chief Minister Sukhu has also called upon the general public to contribute generously to the Disaster Relief Fund. He believes that collective efforts and contributions from individuals across the nation will play a pivotal role in ensuring comprehensive support and assistance to those affected by this natural disaster.
