Himachal Pradesh has become India’s  first state which today declared that it has vaccinated cent per cent of  its targeted  population  with second dose for the covid-19 while the national average for the vaccination remains just 50 per cent.

Himachal’s Jai Ram Thakur state government has achieved this target today, while the national average for the vaccination for the second dose remains woefully at 50 per cent.

The state government is celebrating this event along with the opening of the 18 OPDs for the AIIMS Bilaspur at Bilaspur town  today. BJP National President Jagat Parkash Nadda, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Union Youth Affairs and information and broadcasting minister Anurag Singh Thakur, who is also Lok Sabha MP from Hamirpur and Union Health Minister Mansukh L Mandaviya would take part in the event that will be screened live in many locations in the state.

Himachal  achieved its target much ahead of others  because of its  hard working asha and anganwadi and health workers, doctors  coupled with its robust health infrastructure in the state. They reached out to the remotest corners while the health officials kept the campaign  on the fast track on the initiative taken by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur along with health minister Dr Rajiv Saizal,  said the health workers.

Second, the literacy  and awareness  levels are  higher in Himachal Pradesh   as more and more people came out vaccinating themselves in time. The teams went village to village  vaccinating the villagers.

Union Ministers Neermala Sitharaman and  Piyush Goel have congratulated the Jai Ram Thakur government for accomplishing the rare feat ahead of  all the states in the country.

Sitharaman said India’s 50 per cent of eligible population is fully vaccinated. Har Ghar Dastak  campaign ensures that vaccine reach everybody  with a mission of “Sabko Vaccine, Muft vaccine”.

Health Minister Mansukh tweeted “India would win the battle against vaccine  as 50 per cent of eligible population is fully vaccinated in the country as no today”.
