Palampur: A tragic accident at Bir-Billing, one of the world’s renowned paragliding sites in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district, has claimed the life of a Belgian paragliding pilot.
The accident occurred during a practice session for the upcoming 2024 Paragliding World Cup, scheduled to host participants from over 50 countries in November.
Reports indicate that the Belgian pilot, in his mid-sixties, collided mid-air with another paragliding pilot, leading to a fatal descent.
The other pilot involved in the collision sustained injuries and was rescued after becoming entangled in trees, though their identity has yet to be disclosed.
