Himachal Pradesh Cabinet that met here today under Chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur decided to implement the scheme for promotion of traditional crop and approved the Draft Electric policy for sustainable trannsport in the state. 

Cabinet  gave its nod to implement the ‘Swaran Jayanti Paramparagat Beej Suraksha Avam Samvardhan Yojna’ in its bid to double the farmers income by enhancing production and productivity of traditional crops in the state. 

It approved the HP Draft Electric Vehicle Policy to  promote sustainable transport system for making Himachal Pradesh a global hub for electric mobility development and manufacturing of electric vehicles. The policy also seeks  to create public and private charging infrastructure for electric vehicles besides providing subsidy and incentives to the electric vehicles manufacturing industries.

The cabinet also decided to fill up 100 posts of clerks in place of junior office assistant (IT) in Secretariat on contract basis besides filling up 50 posts of clerks against the anticipated vacancy of clerks during the year 2022 and 2023.

The Cabinet gave its approval for procurement, supply and distribution of school bags under ‘Atal School Vardi Yojna’ to the school students of class 1st, 3rd,6th and 9th on the basis of e-tender by Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. for the year 2020-21 from L-1 bidder M/s Highspirit Commercial Ventures Private Ltd. This would benefit about three lakh students studying in different government schools of the State, on which an amount of Rs 9 crore would be spent.

It gave its nod to provide abatement or relaxation of toll fees for the year 2020-21 of Toll Units  with effect from June, 2020 to September, 2020 was badly affected and only vehicle applying essential commodities were allowed to enter the State. 

The Cabinet decided to extend the contract of M/s TATA Consultancy Services with effect from 1 May, 2021 to 30 April, 2022 exclusively of any taxes at the cost of Rs. 6.18 crore with the condition that the excise department would place a mechanism to take over the running of services internally. 

It also gave its nod to introduce the Sardar Patel University, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh (Establishment and Regulation) Bill, 2021 in Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly for setting up of new University at Mandi. It decided to open new Sub Tehsil at Rey in Fatehpur tehsil of Kangra district alongwith creation of 12 posts of different categories. 

It also decided to upgrade sub Tehsil Junga to Tehsil in Shimla  and gave its approval to open new sub-tehsil at Jari in Bhuntar in Kullu district.  

It also gave its nod to reduce stamp duty to the nominal amount of Rs. 10 on the Hypothecation Agreements for loan sanctioned to the Street Vendors, rehriwala etc. under PM SVA Nidhi Scheme applicable in urban areas. 

It gave its nod to create new Jal Shakti Sub Division at Shawad in Ani Vidhan Sabha area of Kullu district. 

It also gave its nod to open new Jal Shakti sub division at Churag and a new Jal Shakti section at (Sawa Mahu) Mahunag in Karsog area.

It also decided to open a new Jal Shakti Division at Killar ( Pangi) and new Jal Shakti Sub Division at Sach (Pangi) in Bharmour area of Chamba district. 

It also gave its consent to open new Primary Schools at village  Rains in Drang Vidhan Sabha area and at village Chiral in Sundernagar Vidhan Sabha area of Mandi district. 

It also decided to upgrade Government Primary School Devari, Block Ani  in Kullu district to Government Middle School alongwith creation and filling up of three posts of different categories.

It gave its nod to start mathematics classes in Government Degree College Kandaghat in Solan district. 

It also decided to upgrade Community Health Centre Baldwara in Mandi district to 50 bedded Civil Hospital alongwith creation of 11 posts of different categories to man this Hospital. 

Cabinet decided to award upgradation, operation and management of cultural centre of Tourism Department at Janjehli to single bidder M/s Gables Promoters Private Limited Chandigarh. 

It also decided to award upgradation, operation and management of Convention Centre of Tourism Department at Mandi under PPP mode to highest bidder M/s AAGREE Consultants Private Ltd New Delhi-M/s Lords Inn Hotels and Developers Private Ltd. (Consortium). 

It also decided to rename Ayurvedic Hospital Keylong as Shri Tashi Chhering Ayurvedic Hospital Keylong as a mark of respect to noted practitioner of Ayush System of Medicines. 

It decided to fill up 41 post of Office Kanungo in ‘C’ category Sub Division of the State for smooth disposal revenue matters. 

It also decided to fill up 12 posts of different categories in newly created Sub Tehsil Kalbog in tehsil Kotkhai of Shimla district for its smooth functioning. 

The Cabinet decided to fill up 12 posts of Junior Engineer (civil) in Forest Department. 

It also decided to fill up 30 posts of Peons in Prosecution Department on daily wage basis. 

It decided to fill up 28 posts of Safai Karamchari in H.P. Secretariat.

It decided to fill up 10 posts of Sheep shearer in Himachal Pradesh Wool Federation. 

The Cabinet decided to fill up five posts of Dean and two posts Directors in Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University Palampur.

The Cabinet decided to fill up two posts of Fisheries Officer and 20 posts of Fisheries Field Assistant in Fisheries Department through direct recruitment on contract basis.

It decided to fill up 7 posts of motor vehicle inspectors in transport department on contract basis. 

The Cabinet gave its consent to create one post of senior lecturer (computer engineering) and one of post of lecturer (Electrical Engineering) in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institution of Engineering and Technology (Polytechnic Wing) Pragatinagar in district Shimla. 

It also decided to fill up two posts of junior stenographer in prosecution department through direct recruitment on contract basis.
