Shimla: The State Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, granted in-principle approval for engaging 'Annual Period Based Guest Teachers' (APBGT) in Elementary and Higher Education.
As many as 40 Junior Engineers (Civil) and 25 Junior Technicians (Work Inspectors) posts in Public Works Department, 20 Work Inspectors in Jal Shakti Vibhag, and various posts in Revenue Training Institute, Jogindernagar, were approved.
The cabinet also upgraded Civil Hospital Sujanpur in Hamirpur to 100 beds, sanctioned 35 new posts, and increased the marriageable age for girls to 21 years.
It approved an MoU with the National Dairy Development Board for a milk processing plant and endorsed the Mukhyamantri Vidhva Avam Ekal Nari Awas Yojna-2023 offering financial aid to widows.
Restructuring of the State Taxes and Excise department, extension of the Sadbhawana Legacy Cases Resolution Scheme, and approval of the Himachal Pradesh Film Policy-2024 were also greenlit.
The Cabinet granted permission for a Ropeway from Nature Park Mohal to Bijli Mahadev Temple, with profit-sharing between Union and State Governments. Notably, a six-month age relaxation for Class 1 admissions, 180 days of maternity leave for female cook cum helpers, and other decisions were part of the comprehensive Cabinet decisions.
