Shimla: Himachal Pradesh's 11,000 MW hydropower projects face delays due to FCA clearance issues, as highlighted in a recent review meeting led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

He instructed swift resolution of Forest Clearance Act (FCA) and Forest Rights Act (FRA) cases, forming a joint body of Forest and Energy departments.

The aim is to expedite project completion, particularly the 800 MW Parvati and 100 MW Uhal stage-III Hydro Electric Projects by 2024.

The government seeks to enhance project royalties during the Chief Minister's upcoming meeting with the Union Power Minister.

Additionally, support is affirmed for sub-5 MW projects, and a new phase of the Rajiv Gandhi Swarojgar Start-up Yojna, offering financial aid for solar power projects, is set to roll out.

The government has initiated the first phase, providing a 50% subsidy for e-taxi purchases.
