SJVN Vendors Meet in Shimla

Shimla, March 26, 2025:

Reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) ecosystem, SJVN’s 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) successfully hosted the 23rd Edition of its Vendor Development Meet today.

The event served as a dynamic platform for MSMEs to engage directly with SJVN and gain insights into procurement opportunities.

The Meet witnessed detailed presentations by key officials from MSME bodies, the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), National SC/ST Hub (MSME), and Government e-Marketplace (GeM), offering valuable guidance to vendors.

These sessions aimed at empowering vendors to navigate government norms and policies while enhancing their participation in large projects like SJVN’s.

Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), SJVN, emphasized the crucial role of such platforms in building an inclusive ecosystem where MSMEs can thrive.

He urged vendors to familiarize themselves with SJVN’s procurement policies and government regulations to ensure fair and seamless participation.

The Meet turned interactive as vendors shared their success stories of collaborating with SJVN and exchanged best practices during an open forum discussion. Challenges faced by vendors and ways to streamline procurement while upholding ethical standards also came under focus.

The event saw the presence of senior SJVN officials, including Sh. Manmeet Gupta, Dy. CVO (Corporate Headquarters), Sh. Rajeev Aggarwal, HOP (Sunni Dam HEP), Sh. J.S Nayyar, HOP (NMHPS), Sh. Vikas Marwah, HOP (Rampur HPS), and Sh. Vivek Sharma, HOP (LHEP-I), along with several dignitaries from SJVN’s various projects.

The 23rd edition of this Vendor Development Meet further cements SJVN’s proactive approach in supporting MSMEs and promoting fair business opportunities in the power sector.
