Chopal Youth Vikas Pawar Cracks Civil Services Again, Brings Pride to Himachal
Shimla: In a moment of pride for Himachal Pradesh, Vikas Pawar, a resident of Jubbali village in Chopal subdivision of Shimla district, has successfully cleared the prestigious Civil Services Examination-2025 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
Vikas has not only made his village and district proud but has also brought laurels to the entire state by securing success in one of the country’s toughest examinations.
What makes his achievement even more remarkable is that this is the second time he has made it to the civil services, this time securing 159th rank.
Earlier, he had appeared on KBC show with Amitabh Bachhan and won Rs 50 Lakh.
His success is being widely celebrated in Chopal and across Shimla district, with people describing it as an inspiration for the youth of the state who aspire to join the country’s top administrative services.
Vikas studied at DAV New Shimla, where teachers and staff have expressed immense pride over his achievement. His English teacher, Leena Chauhan, said the entire school fraternity is delighted with his success.
“Vikas has made it to the civil services for the second time and has improved his rank. The whole school is extremely proud of him,” she said, adding that his dedication and perseverance should motivate students to pursue their dreams with determination.
Adding to the celebration, Nidhi Chaudhary, daughter of the sacred Siddhapeeth Trilokpur Temple area, secured 466th rank, making her family and region proud.
From Bilaspur district, Jitendra Chandel, a resident of Ghumani village in Ghumarwin, secured 804th rank, while Inspector Sanjeev Kumar from Jaunta village in Kangra district achieved 844th rank in the examination.
Their remarkable success in the examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission is being widely celebrated across Himachal Pradesh.
People from their respective villages and districts have hailed their achievement, saying that their hard work, determination and dedication have not only brought glory to their families but also inspired thousands of youths in the state to pursue their dreams in public service.
