IIT Mandi PhD Scholar Himanshi Diwan Receives Prestigious Rudolf Cimdins Scholarship 2026

Himanshi Diwan, PhD Scholar at the School of Biosciences and Bioengineering (SBB), Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, has been awarded the prestigious Rudolf Cimdins Scholarship 2026 by the European Biomaterials Society.
Ms. Diwan is pursuing her doctoral research under the guidance of Dr. Sumit Murab, SBB, IIT Mandi. The scholarship recognises promising young researchers working in the field of biomaterials and provides an opportunity to present their research on an international platform.
As part of the scholarship, Ms. Diwan will present her research at the 34th European Biomaterials Conference, to be held in Antwerp, Belgium. The conference will bring together researchers and experts from around the world to discuss new developments in biomaterials and related areas.
The achievement highlights the quality of research being carried out by young scholars at IIT Mandi and reflects the Institute’s focus on promoting innovative research with global relevance.
