SJVN CMD unfulfilled it's flag on its raising day in Shimla

SJVN Celebrates 37th Raising Day with Enthusiasm and Grand Festivities. The year was one of growth and achievements and same will be the new one, says CMD. 

Shimla: SJVN celebrated its 37th Raising Day with great enthusiasm on May 24, with events held across all its offices and projects in India and Nepal.

The main event took place in Shimla, where Chairman and Managing Director Sushil Sharma kicked off the celebration by hoisting the SJVN corporate flag.

Joining him were key figures like Chief Vigilance Officer Prem Prakash, ED of Corporate Planning V. Sankaranarayanan, ED of IT & SE Salil Shamsheri, ED of CCD S. Marasamy, ED of Finance S.L. Sharma, and ED of HR Chandra Shekhar Yadav, along with numerous employees.

CMD Sushil Sharma addressed the gathering, reflecting on SJVN’s growth from a 1500 MW company to an impressive 56662 MW portfolio. "SJVN is dedicated to upholding its core values and striving for excellence.

As we enter our 37th year, we look forward to another year of growth and achievements," Sharma said.

The celebrations highlighted SJVN’s achievements in power generation and sustainable development, featuring a short video tribute to the company's past Chairmen and Managing Directors since 1988, which received a standing ovation.

Sharma awarded 52 winners of the 'People's Choice-SJVN Star Awards,' aimed at motivating employees across various levels.

He also recognized the best script developers for the SJVN Gyan Jyoti e-learning platform and honored department heads for their team spirit, leadership, and innovation.

The event concluded with a cultural evening featuring performances by renowned Bollywood singer Hema Sardesai, singer Arvind Singh, and comedian Vishal Sharma, adding joy and entertainment to the celebration.
