Shimla: SJVN, under the leadership of Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director, has commenced commercial operations of its 75 MW Gurhah Solar Power Plant in Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh.
The project, implemented through SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), was secured at a competitive tariff of Rs. 2.98 per unit.
With this achievement, SJVN's installed capacity now stands at an impressive 2227 MW. The project, developed at a cost of Rs. 408.42 Crores, is expected to generate approximately 159.77 million units in the first year and an estimated cumulative energy of 3716 million units over 25 years.
The Power Purchase Agreement for the energy generated has been signed with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited for a duration of 25 years.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma expressed that this marks SJVN's 9th commissioned project, aligning with their ambitious goal of reaching 25,000 MW installed capacity by 2030.
