The mortal remains of Vivek Kumar was received by the Chief Minister, Lt Gen and father of the brave heart Ramesh Chand at Gaggal Airport in Kangra, They laid the wrath on the body of the diseased solider and paid their tributes.Para Commando belongs to Jaisinghpur in Kangra. He was the only bread winner of the family, said his father who broke down after receiving the dead body of his son, who was to come on leave to his native village next month.
Interacting with the media, Chief Minister said that the state government was committed for the welfare of the family of the martyr soldier. The Government has provided Rs 5 lakh as immediate relief to the bereaved family and announced additional Rs 5 lakh to his family from his discretionary fund, he said.
Vivek, 28 had joined the Army in 2012 and was the sole breadwinner of the family. Chief Minister also consoled Ramesh Chand.
MLA Jaisinghpur Ravinder Dhiman, former Minister Sudhir Sharma, Captain Mangesh Bhosle, Deputy Commissioner Dr Nipun Jindal and SP Khushal Sharma also laid wreath on the body of the martyr.
