ROHRU: Gavas in Rohru, a historic bastion of the Rampur Bushahr state, experienced a resurgence of cultural fervor as the long-awaited Shaant celebration unfolded after a hiatus of 36 years. Seven Devtas and 10 khoonds of Rohru Jubbal were at the Centre of attraction.
This traditional congregation, marked by a feasty get-together of local deities and communities, became a focal point for the revival of ancient customs.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu actively engaged in the three-day "Maha Yajna" at Gavas, located in the Rohru assembly constituency of Shimla district.
Amidst the scenic backdrop, the Chief Minister paid obeisance at the revered temple of deity Gudaru Ji Maharaj, offering prayers for the happiness and prosperity of the state.
On this auspicious occasion, Chief Minister Sukhu extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of the area, emphasizing the distinct identity of Himachal Pradesh's Dev culture.
He underscored the deep-rooted faith in deities and characterized the Maha Yajna as a symbolic representation of the state's ancient cultural heritage.

Thousands of people from the region gathered to partake in the Maha Yajna, witnessing the active participation of seven deities and 13 Khoonds from Rohru and Jubbal areas.
