Art Lovers Converge at Historic Naggar for International Art Exhibition, Artist Camp Opens
Naggar (Kullu), Himachal Pradesh — The historic village of Naggar turned into a vibrant hub of creativity today as Nakul Khullar, Award of Excellence recipient and Director, Baragarh Resorts & Spa, IHCL SeleQtions, Manali, inaugurated an international art exhibition and the national-level artist camp ‘United Artists–25’.
The event has been organised by Artfort India, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the International Roerich Memorial Trust (IRMT), Naggar. The exhibition is housed in the Modern Art Gallery of IRMT, while the three-day artist camp is underway at the Trust’s Green Theatre. The initiative is supported by ASWARA, Malaysia, and Varman Cultural Celebration, Jammu (India).
The inauguration saw the presence of Russian curator Larisa Surgina, Indian curator Suresh Nadda, and noted artists Prabhinder Lall, Dr. Vandana Malhotra, Sangeeta Sharma, Bharat Bedii, among many others.
Khullar applauded the joint efforts of IRMT, Artfort India, and international collaborators for bringing together artists from across the globe. He said such platforms deepen cultural understanding and strengthen global artistic dialogue.
Exhibition coordinator Sangeeta Sharma said the opening show features works of artists from several countries, reflecting contemporary global trends and evolving media practices in the art world.
Artist camp coordinator Dr. Vandana Malhotra added that eminent Indian artists — including Prabhinder Lall, Harsh Inder Loomba, Bharat Bedii, Mahak Sharma, and local creators — are participating in the three-day camp, contributing to a dynamic exchange of ideas and techniques.
With artists, curators, and art lovers gathering from India and abroad, Naggar has once again reaffirmed its place on the international cultural map.
