KAZA/LEH/Gangtok/ITANAGAR: After Spiti people, thousands of people in Gangtok in Sikkim joined the entire Buddhist community of Himalayan states and staged massive protest march in Gangtok against the “city-centric Media's” malicious campaign to defame their Guru, His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama.
Thousands of Buddhists in Spiti and Gangtok shouted slogans, “media Walo Sharam karo, Sharam Karo-2”, and demanding an immediate halt to defame the 14th Dalai Lama.

Himalayan Buddhist have asked Actresses Kangna Ranaut and TV stars to see the “entire video of the teaching session of the Dalai Lama", before trolling their 84-years old Guru for “socalled child sexual abuse” just to increase their ratings.
The protestors say that the video was selective photographed by media to sensationalise the episode as the Dalai Lama is a Noble Laurate and messiah of Peace, love and Happiness and Compassion on this planet.
All Spiti Lama Association, Nuneries and former MLA Phunchok Rai, joined hands condemned the conspiracies to defame the Dalai Lama.
They told HimbuMail that the “selective video pertains to a teaching session with children in Dharamshala that took place on February 28. But it was selective photographed maliciously to make it appear like “ case of child abuse”.
They cite actual event: “One child asked the Dalai Lama, whether or not he can hug him”.
At this, the Dalai Lama said, “Yes” and kissed the child with Mantra Ucharan in his quintessential playfulness “kiss my tongue and we are the same human beings ”.
When the child and his parents were asked about the whole episode, they uncategorically stated that it was a spiritual experience for their child and themselves.
They condemned the “selective part of video and trolls that followed after almost two on this social media”.
They showed their anger against the Media and anti-Buddhist elements to defame their His Holiness Dalai Lama and shouted slogans against media.
Carrying the pictures and poster of His Holiness Dalai Lama, they sought an end to the malicious campaign against their Guru and sough deletion of video from social media and mainstream Media.
Spitians joined this protest after the similar protests were staged all across the Himalayan Buddhist states from Leh and Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.
Ladakh BJP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal said it is disheartening to see malicious allegations being levelled against the Dalai Lama.
“We must remember that the teachings of Buddhism are grounded in principle of peace and nonviolence”. Baseless Allegations have no place in such principles.

“As the member of parliament representing the people of Ladakh I am proud to stand in solidarity with His Holiness”.
We recognise the immense contribution that he has made towards creating a more compassionate and peaceful word and we please to continue to work towards his goal together.
