Manali: Kullu-Manali, a cherished Himachal tourist destination, has reopened its doors after an 80-day hiatus due to destructive monsoon rains, floods, and landslides. The resumption of Volvo bus services signals a fresh start for the region's tourism industry.
Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaud marked the occasion by flagging off the first Volvo bus from Patlikuhal to Manali.
Accompanied by DC Kullu Ashutosh Garg and NHAI Project Director Varun Chari, Gaud sees this as a positive step for tourism, offering visitors better travel options and rekindling hope for the local hotel industry.
The pleasant weather and the approaching winter season are expected to attract tourists to Manali.
Gaud said Chief Minister's advocacy at the national level, including discussions with Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, played a crucial role in expediting road repairs.
