*Shimla, [Date]* - Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today flagged off 10 state-of-the-art fire tenders equipped with advanced foam-making machines.
These new hi-tech vehicles are capable of effectively combating both ordinary fires and oil fires, providing a major boost to the State's firefighting infrastructure.
With this addition, State has now 230 tenders for safety and security of its residents.
Chief Minister Sukhu said the government will open three new Fire sub-stations in strategic locations - Kaza in Lahaul-Spiti, Killar in District Chamba, and Nadaun in District Hamirpur.
A new fire chowki will be established at Dehan in the Shimla district, adding more support to the region's firefighting capabilities.
To this end, an allocation of Rs. 1.60 crore has been made for the purchase of additional fire equipment.
Furthermore, an amount of Rs. 9.80 crore has been earmarked for the construction of office buildings and residential facilities for the fire stations.
