KEYLONG: In a swift crackdown, Lahul-Spiti Police fined a driver Rs 2500 today for dangerous driving after a video of revelers dancing and hanging off a speeding vehicle in Poh village went viral.
The police wasted no time in taking action, citing the driver under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.
The incident, which shocked residents and netizens alike, showed a group of people recklessly endangering their lives as they celebrated on the speeding vehicle.
The taxi was carrying tourists but the police didn't reveal the video.
