Solan: In a major fire incident today, a fire broke out at the Hilltop perfume company unit in Jhadmajri, part of the industrial belt in Baddi. So far five were found dead while 30 workers were rescued most of them jumped out and sustained injuries. 50 more are feared to be trapped or missing from the site.
Reports indicate that some more workers may be trapped inside, as confirmed by the local police.
As many as five workers who jumped out from the roof were injured and were admitted to the local hospital where they were under treatment. They were referred to PGI.
Firefighters swiftly responded, but the intense flames and thick smog are posing challenges to contain the blaze within the company building.
DC solan Manmohan Sharma is monitoring the rescue operation. The situation is currently under control as efforts to extinguish the fire continue and to rescue the trapped workers.
