Shimla: The dispute over property between Himalayan Brahmo Samaj and Ramakrishan Mission Takes a a new turn as Shimla police has lodged an FIR in the case.
An FIR has been registered at Baluganj Police Station, Shimla, against many individuals for allegedly forging documents in the name of the Himalayan Brahmo Samaj, Shimla.
The complainants, including Vishal Sharma, General Secretary of the Himalayan Brahmo Samaj, along with Mela Ram Sagroli, Mahinder Kumar, and Harish Kumar, have accused the individuals of fraudulently creating fake resolutions to misappropriate the organization's properties.
The accused include Bindiya Kullar (daughter of R.B. Suri), Sanjeev Suri (son of Late S.C. Suri), Pramila Suri (wife of Ramesh Suri), Nitin Suri (son of Ramesh Suri) from 10/12 Sarvapriya Vihar, New Delhi; Lalit Verma (son of Ram Saran) from C/3 Summer Hill, Shimla; Shail Pandit (wife of Vijay Pandit); Rajiv Paul; Swami Tanmahimananda and Anantamahimananda (members of Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math); and Sapna (wife of Rajiv Kumar) and Neelam (wife of Vinod Kumar) from Bindlesh Bhawan near Gulmarg Hotel, Shimla.
The FIR has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery), 471 (using forged documents as genuine), 442 (criminal trespass), 423 (fraudulent execution of deeds), 476, 480, 506 (criminal intimidation), and 120B (criminal conspiracy).
Vishal Sharma alleged that these individuals forged resolutions to sell and transfer the properties of the Himalayan Brahmo Samaj and misappropriated funds worth crores.
Trustee Dharampal Thakur stated that several appeals were made to various political and administrative officials, including the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, but no action was taken.
Sharma further alleged that former DGP Kundu allegedly misused his position and colluded with Swami Tanmahimananda and Lalit Verma to illegally detain his daughter.
A senior police officer investigated the matter and found the allegations to be true. However, no FIR has been registered against former DGP so far.
The complainants have urged the government and administration to ensure they can perform Brahmo prayers peacefully at the Shimla temple twice a day without any hindrance.
