Mandi, Feb 27 – The International Shivratri Mahotsav-2025 roared to life at a rain-drenched Paddal Ground, with over 200 deities and thousands of devotees marching in the ‘Shahi Jaleb’ procession.

CM Sukhu led the grand spectacle after offering prayers at Shri Raj Madhav Rai temple and participating in the Pagri ceremony.

Amid celebrations, Sukhu announced ₹100 crore to fast-track the Mandi Shiv Dham project and hiked the Nazrana (offerings) by 5%.

He took a swipe at the opposition leader Jai Ram  Thakur and blamed him for stalling Shiv Dham and dismissed the Balh airport as a "dream project," vowing to safeguard farmers’ interests.

Pushing his ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ agenda, he pledged to fill 25,000 jobs, modernize hospitals with ₹1,800 crore, and set up Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools.

The ‘Divyam’ app was also launched for real-time tracking of welfare schemes.

₹5.28 Cr Sub Market Yard upgrade in Takoli

₹2.08 Cr Ganpati Nallah bridge

₹1.33 Cr DNA Block at Regional Forensic Lab

Foundation stones laid for:

₹12 Cr retrofitting at Vallabh College

₹1.55 Cr landslide mitigation near Vishwakarma temple

Libraries at Nerchowk & Padhar also opened under the ‘Apna Pustakalay’ scheme.

The day ended with a mesmerizing Dev-Dhwani performance, setting the stage for a week of cultural and religious fervor.
