SHIMLA: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched  Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 website,  seeking country-wide and world- wide support for  assisting flood victims and supplement  government effort at building the flood-battered Himachal Pradesh.

The website enables users to contribute financial support to the cause, utilizing convenient payment methods such as debit cards, credit cards, net banking, QR codes, and UPI.

During the launch event attended by IT advisor Gukal Butail and others, Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized the magnitude of the tragedy and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming response from individuals across the nation and abroad who are eager to lend a helping hand.

To facilitate this outpouring of support, the Department of Digital Technology and Governance diligently developed a transparent web link that allows online donations, providing donors with mobile receipts.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Sukhu revealed that preparations are underway to extend the opportunity for online donations to overseas donors in the coming days.

Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues, along with all Congress MLAs, have decided to donate their entire month's salary to the Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023.

Underscoring the severity of the situation, Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized that Himachal Pradesh has endured unprecedented losses due to relentless rainfall, resulting in the worst calamity the state has witnessed in the past 50 years.

He passionately appealed to individuals and organizations to extend their maximum financial support, as it would be instrumental in helping the state recover from the profound devastation it has experienced.

As Himachal Pradesh battles the aftermath of this catastrophic disaster, the Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 website serves as a beacon of hope, providing a user-friendly platform for generous individuals worldwide to contribute towards the rehabilitation and recovery efforts.
