MANDI: Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University in Bhilai, aimed at fostering academic and research collaboration.
The signing ceremony, which took place on March 26, 2024, was attended by Prof. M.K. Verma, Vice-Chancellor of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai, and Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Director of IIT Mandi.
Dr. Kumar Sambhav Pandey, Registrar at IIT Mandi, expressed the institute's commitment to excellence through collaboration, emphasizing the significance of partnerships with esteemed institutions like Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai.
The MoU facilitates the exchange of scientific knowledge and information through visits of faculty and staff members between the two institutions. It also lays the groundwork for joint postdoctoral and PhD programs, promoting academic and research excellence through collaborative supervision.
Moreover, both institutions will provide access to their research facilities under mutually agreed terms.
The collaboration extends to joint research initiatives, including participation in nationally and internationally funded projects.
Additionally, it will encompass joint activities such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and training programs, providing students exposure to resources available at both institutions.
