SHIMLA:CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated Himachal Pradesh Police’s Cyber Wing ‘CY-Station’ in Shimla. It was the Police commemoration day today.
The 24x7 station will handle cybercrime complaints, especially financial frauds, via the toll-free number 1930.
It will enable real-time complaint registration and coordinate with banks to block defrauded amounts. The station, equipped with modern technology and trained operators, will act as a data hub for tracking cybercrime cases across the state.
Sukhu emphasized the government’s push to modernize the police force, improving efficiency, transparency, and public safety. Several senior officials, including Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh, were present.
Leading the patrol was Sub-Inspector Karam Singh, who, alongside his men, bravely resisted the sudden attack.
Ten soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice, laying down their lives for the nation, while 11 others were captured by the Chinese. To honor their courage, Police Commemoration Day is observed every year on this date.
