SHIMLA: Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, received a warm welcome upon her arrival in Shimla today as she begins her summer retreat at the serene  Charabra President Retreat.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu greeted her at the Kalyani helipad, joined by esteemed dignitaries including Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, and Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena.

Her immediate neighbors at the retreat are none other than Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, who have also had  their private  house nearby."
