SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Police has kicked off an intensive 10-day cybercrime training program, gathering over 40 officers from across the state to sharpen their skills against a rising tide of cyber threats.
This specialized training, led by senior police officers, covers critical areas, from legal frameworks to handling digital evidence.
Additional SP Narvir Singh Rathour took the lead in today’s session with an in-depth overview of cyber law.
“It’s crucial for our officers to understand the IT Act thoroughly to tackle sophisticated cybercrimes,” Rathour remarked, emphasizing the need for a robust legal foundation in investigations.
The program reflects the growing need for law enforcement to stay agile in an era where digital crimes are fast-evolving.
Officers are being equipped to investigate a range of online threats, from phishing and hacking to identity theft and online fraud.
With cybercrimes on the rise, this training aims to ensure that officers can respond swiftly and effectively.
