arrested two individuals from a home stay on Shimla-Mehli road late last night, recovering 3.45 grams of chitta and ₹37,500 in cash.
The accused, identified as Mukal Khurrana (30) and Raj Kumar (19), both residents of Faridkot, Punjab, were booked under the NDPS Act.
According to sources, the duo had been staying at the home stay for the past five days, allegedly involved in illegal activities. Following a directive from SP Shimla, a police team conducted the raid and seized the contraband and cash.
SP Shimla confirmed the arrests and said investigations are underway to probe their supply network and any possible local links.
With drug trafficking becoming a growing concern in Himachal Pradesh, the police have intensified their crackdown, particularly targeting peddlers operating through rented accommodations and home stays.
