Himachal reshuffles IPS officers, Rani Bindu gets IGP (Crime) charge
Shimla, Aug 27 – In a fresh reshuffle of senior IPS officers, the Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday issued transfer and posting orders for five officers, including Rani Bindu, who has been appointed as Inspector General of Police (Crime), Himachal Pradesh, Shimla.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, Dr. D.K. Chaudhary (IPS 2008), DIG (Crime), Shimla, has been shifted as Principal, Police Training College, Daroh, Kangra.
Soumya Sambasivan (IPS 2010), DIG (Central Range) Mandi, who was also holding the additional charge of Principal, Police Training College, Daroh, and IGP (Northern Range), Dharamshala, has now been designated as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Northern Range), Dharamshala.
Rahul Nath (IPS 2010), DIG, State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau, Shimla, has been posted as DIG (Central Range), Mandi.
Arvind Chaudhary (IPS 2017), SP, Police Training College, Daroh, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (Leave Reserve), Police Headquarters, Shimla.
The notification clarified that the officers will take charge of their new assignments only after the ongoing Vidhan Sabha session concludes.
