However, Bragta alleges that this decision was not enforced, causing confusion among orchardists throughout the season.

One of the key issues brought up by Bragta is the ambiguity surrounding payments for apples purchased by the Himachal Pradesh Marketing Corporation (HPMC) and Himachal Pradesh Horticultural Produce Marketing and Processing Corporation (Himfed) under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS). He emphasizes the need for transparency regarding whether these payments have been made.

In the aftermath of heavy rainfall causing widespread destruction of orchards this year, Bragta demands clarity from the Horticulture Minister on whether compensation was provided to affected orchardists and the amount disbursed. Noting that the Revenue Department falls under the Minister's jurisdiction, questions arise regarding the government's support for those who suffered losses.

Bragta also sheds light on a new narrative emerging from the Horticulture Minister, hinting at the introduction of universal cartons in the next season. Orchardists are keen to know if the Minister has engaged in discussions with Corrugated Manufacturers, responsible for producing cartons, and if there have been talks with other state governments. The aim is to facilitate the smooth sale of Himachal Pradesh apples in fruit markets across states. Orchardists are eager for the Minister to address these concerns and provide clarity on the proposed changes for the upcoming season.
