The sports extravaganza in the school was a part of National Sports Day on August 29, celebrated across India as a tribute to Major Dhyan Chand.
Six houses - Ashoka, Gandhi, Hansraj, Nehru, Subhash, and Tagore - showcased their sports prowess within the school premises.
The event featured football, basketball, and volleyball, with intense competition and spirited student participation. After four days of league matches, the winners and runners-up emerged:

The event received a motivational boost from the school's Principal, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Chandel, who encouraged the students and the school staff for organisation of the sports meet.
Sports Meet came as refreshing a weeklong recreational bonanza for the students.
The success of the Sports Meet is credited to the dedication of the students, support from teachers, and guidance from the Assistant House Masters (AHM) and the Principal.
This Mega Sports Meet not only paid tribute to Major Dhyan Chand but also showcased the spirit of sportsmanship and unity among DAV Senior Secondary School's students in New Shimla.
