Dehradun: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached a massive 101 bighas of land in Dehradun district under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

The land, registered at a value of ₹6.56 crore, has an estimated current market worth exceeding ₹70 crore.

The attachment, dated January 20, 2025, is part of an ongoing investigation into financial irregularities involving Birendra Singh Kandari and others.

The ED suspects the property is linked to proceeds of crime, prompting the action to curb further misuse.

This development signals a significant stride in the ED's crackdown on economic offenses, with the agency making it clear that no stone will be left unturned in tackling money laundering. Further details on the case are awaited.
