Joined by Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, the Governor announced that the Raj Bhavan will be open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Originally known as Barnes Court, the Raj Bhavan stands as a testament to the British era, dating back to its construction in 1832.

Constructed with significant contributions from Indian artisans, the heritage structure holds historical significance as a witness to various pivotal events.

Governor Shukla emphasized the importance of making this heritage site more than just a ceremonial space.

By opening it during the 'Amrit-Kaal', he aims to allow the public to engage with its history and architectural marvel.

Admission to the Raj Bhavan will be free for school students within the state and children under ten, who can present valid identification. University and college students, as well as visitors from within and outside the state, will be be charged a nominal fee of Rs. 30.

Foreign tourists will be charged Rs. 60. People with disabilities and national/state-level awardees will be granted free entry.

The visitors will receive complimentary soft copies of up to 6 photographs and a Raj Bhavan brochure.

Before entering the premises, visitors will be treated to a brief film narrating the historical and archaeological significance of Barnes Court.

A group can consist of up to 15 individuals, with school student groups allowed up to 30 students.
