Hashish Trail Ends in Jail
Sundernagar, October 28 — A police blockade at Sundernagar ended with a major drug bust today as cops seized 329 grams of hashish from two men.
The accused — Rajinder Kumar and Mohit, both residents of Tehsil Bangana, District Una — were travelling in a car (HP72A-1340) when police intercepted them.
A case under Sections 20, 25, and 29 of the ND&PS Act has been registered at Police Station Sundernagar.
“Both accused have been arrested and will be produced in court tomorrow,” confirmed SP Mandi, adding that district police remain alert against narcotic smuggling networks.

Tractor Terror in Sarkaghat
Sarkaghat, October 28 — A tractor driver’s reckless driving turned tragic when he allegedly hit a young girl, leaving her injured.
The complainant, Smt. Sumna Devi, wife of Rakesh Kumar, reported that on October 23, her daughter was knocked down by a tractor (HP28C-4193) driven by Ashok Guleria.
Police have booked the driver under Sections 281 and 125(A) of the Indian Justice Code at Police Station Sarkaghat.
“Investigation is in progress and strict action will be taken against the erring driver,” said SP Mandi.

Traffic Tightened: 402 Challans in a Day
Mandi, October 28 — Police intensified their district-wide checking drive, issuing 402 challans under the Motor Vehicles Act, 11 under COTPA (fine ₹1,100), and 3 under the Mining Act.
“Strict enforcement is being carried out to ensure public safety and discipline on roads,” stated Superintendent of Police, Mandi.
